# Shipstry — Full Markdown for AI Agents

> Launch your product on Shipstry and reach early adopters every week. The best place for makers to launch new apps, AI tools, and developer products.

Expanded companion to [llms.txt](https://shipstry.com/llms.txt). It concatenates the machine-readable Markdown for Shipstry's core pages so an AI agent can fetch a single document instead of negotiating Markdown per page.

Dynamic, per-record pages (products, user profiles, categories, blog posts) are not duplicated here; discover them via the sitemap or the explore page listed at the end.

# About Shipstry

Shipstry gives product shipping a clearer structure: reviewed listings, a defined ship week, and discovery built for attention instead of feed velocity.

It is built for the stage when a product still needs real attention: fairer comparison, better judgment, and a record that lasts beyond a single spike.

## At a glance

- Reviewed listings: Submissions are reviewed before they go live.
- Defined ship weeks: Products land inside a clear weekly release frame.
- Less momentum bias: Fog Mode reduces the strongest social proof cues during the day.
- A lasting record: Products stay part of the registry after the ship week ends.

## Why Shipstry exists

Shipstry is not built around instant breakout promises. It exists to make shipping more useful again.

A launch surface should do more than amplify momentum that is already in place.

Shipstry is built for the earlier moment, when a product still needs a fair chance to be seen, compared, discussed, and remembered.

The point is simple: give good products a credible place to ship, and give visitors a better way to discover them.

## How shipping works here

The value comes from the sequence, not one isolated feature.

1. **Submit a real product**
Shipstry is for products people can access, evaluate, and discuss today, not idea-only pages built mainly to collect traffic.

2. **Review before listing**
Submissions are checked for product reality, honest presentation, maker ownership, and fit with the registry.

3. **Enter a ship week**
Approved products enter a defined week, which makes timing clearer and comparison easier to follow than an endless feed.

4. **Earn attention during the week**
Discovery is structured for more intentional browsing. Fog Mode reduces the strongest momentum cues during part of the day so products can be judged with a cleaner field of view.

5. **Stay part of the record**
After the ship week, products remain in the registry. Awards and Wakemark record outcomes and contribution without turning reputation into ranking leverage.

## What belongs in the registry

Shipstry is best suited to maker-built products people can genuinely try, evaluate, or understand today.

### A good fit

Products people can genuinely try, evaluate, or understand today.

- Software products, apps, developer tools, AI products, utilities, and productized platforms
- Launches from solo makers, small teams, and founders with clear ownership
- Listings where the product itself is what people are here to discover

### Usually not a fit

Listings built mainly for service lead generation, SEO capture, or launch theater.

- Agencies, consultancies, freelancer services, and portfolio sites
- Idea-only pages, thin waitlists, and products people cannot meaningfully evaluate yet
- Listings created mainly for backlinks, traffic capture, or vanity launch metrics

## Why makers use it

The structure changes what shipping actually feels like.

- A clearer ship window: A product gets a defined week instead of being buried in a fast-moving stream.
- Fairer early attention: Discovery depends less on immediate visible momentum and more on what people actually see and judge.
- A more intentional audience: People come here to browse products, not just react to whatever already looks popular.
- A record that lasts: After the ship week, the product remains part of a browsable registry people can return to later.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which plan should I choose?

Choose Harbor when you are comfortable joining the standard queue. Choose Voyage ($9.90 per product) when you want priority review and earlier eligible scheduling. Both paths use the same approval standards and organic ranking rules.

### How long until my product goes live?

Harbor boards from week +3 and is reviewed on a best-effort basis, which can take 4+ weeks during busy periods. Voyage is eligible for the current ship week and includes review within 48 hours. Once approved, a product is live for its entire ship week (Monday to Sunday UTC).

### What happens if my product is rejected during review?

If your product doesn't meet our guidelines, we'll explain what needs attention and you can resubmit. Harbor resubmissions reuse the original monthly slot. Voyage purchases are eligible for a full refund when the product is rejected and never goes live.

### Is this a one-time payment?

Yes. Voyage is a one-time payment for one product submission, with no recurring charge.

### Are taxes included in the price?

Prices exclude VAT and applicable taxes. Tax is calculated at checkout based on your location.

### Where do the free plan backlinks appear?

Approved Harbor products receive an organic link from their product page under Shipstry's current link policy. Backlink verification affects Harbor scheduling eligibility, not whether payment buys ranking credit.

### Does Voyage buy ranking or SEO authority?

No. Voyage buys priority review and earlier eligible scheduling. It does not buy approval, votes, awards, ranking position, featured placement, or guaranteed SEO value.

### Can I upgrade my product plan?

A pending Harbor product can upgrade to Voyage from the Dashboard and pay the price difference. Voyage is the highest product-submission tier.

### What is the refund policy?

Voyage is generally refundable before review begins or when a product is rejected and never published. Once priority review has been delivered and the product is approved and published, the purchase is generally not refundable. See the Refund Policy for details.

# Frequently Asked Questions

Practical answers about ship weeks, Fog Mode, submission review, launch plans, voting, comments, and Wakemark.

## General

### What is Shipstry, and who is it for?

Shipstry is a weekly launch registry for real, maker-built products. It gives makers a reviewed launch page, community discovery, voting, and a lasting record after launch week. Anyone can browse; makers use it when they have a product people can try or evaluate now.

### Do I need an account to use Shipstry?

You can browse products and read product pages without an account. You need an account to ship a product, vote, comment, reply, or like comments.

### How do I sign in?

Shipstry currently supports Google sign-in and email one-time code sign-in. If this is your first login and your profile is missing a name, you may be asked to set one before continuing.

### What does it cost to launch?

Browsing, accounts, voting, and comments are free. Harbor is the free submission path with queue, quota, and scheduling limits. Voyage is a $9.90 one-time purchase per product for priority review and earlier eligible scheduling.

### When will my product go live?

Products launch in a Monday-to-Sunday ship week (UTC). Voyage can target the current week; Harbor is scheduled into an eligible future week, usually week +3 or week +1 when backlink verification unlocks that option. Voting and weekly ranking apply only during the assigned week.

### What is Fog Mode?

Fog Mode is Shipstry's daily blind-voting window from 13:00 to 19:00 UTC. During that period, vote counts and rank cues are hidden, and visitors see products in a different order so discovery depends less on crowd-following.

### What is Wakemark?

Wakemark is Shipstry's reputation system. It reflects long-term contribution, outcomes, and consistency, but it does not change voting weight or product ranking power.

### How can I contact the Shipstry team?

You can reach the team at hi@shipstry.com, or use the Feedback page if you want to send bugs, suggestions, or product ideas.

## Launching

### What kinds of products can I submit?

Shipstry is designed for real maker-built products people can genuinely access, evaluate, or understand today. That includes apps, software, developer tools, AI products, utilities, productized platforms, and similar product-first releases.

### What usually is not a fit?

Usually not a fit: agencies, consultancies, freelancer services, portfolio sites, idea-only pages, thin waitlists, and listings built mainly for backlinks, traffic capture, or vanity launch metrics.

### Can I submit a private beta, open source project, or major relaunch?

Yes, sometimes. Private betas can be approved if the product clearly exists and people have a real way to request or get access. Open source products should have docs, screenshots, a demo, or another clear evaluation path. Relaunches are considered when there is a meaningful new release, rebuild, or major scope change.

### Do I need to be the founder or maker to submit?

No. Anyone can submit a product as long as the listing is honest and authorized by the maker. Makers themselves usually write the most accurate listings.

### How do I submit a product?

Create a draft, add the product details and launch link, then choose a plan and an eligible ship week. Paid plans go through checkout; Harbor goes through free-eligibility and backlink checks. After submission, the product stays pending until review is complete.

### Can I save drafts and come back later?

Yes. The submit flow supports drafts, and your draft can be reopened later from the submit flow or Dashboard. If a payment attempt is canceled, your draft stays saved so you can try again without starting over.

### What plans are available?

There are two submission plans. Harbor is the free path with queue and quota limits. Voyage is a one-time paid path with priority review and earlier eligible scheduling.

### Is pricing one-time or recurring?

Harbor is free. Voyage is a one-time $9.90 purchase for one product submission; it is not a subscription and does not renew.

### How does Harbor scheduling work?

Harbor is the free submission path. Standard Harbor usually starts at week +3, has a monthly limit of 1 free submission per user, and uses 20 standard free slots per week. Voyage can schedule this week; Harbor must wait for an eligible week.

### What does a verified backlink unlock on Harbor?

If your Harbor submission has a live Shipstry backlink and verification succeeds, Harbor unlocks week +1 scheduling, dofollow links, and access to 5 extra verified slots each week. Verified submissions use those slots first, then fall back to standard Harbor slots when available. If verification fails, you cannot use those verified Harbor benefits for submission.

### What backlinks do the plans include?

Approved products receive organic links under Shipstry's current link policy. Voyage does not sell ranking credit or guaranteed SEO authority; its paid benefit is priority review and earlier eligible scheduling.

### Can I submit more than one product?

Yes. Harbor is limited to 1 free submission per month. Voyage has no monthly quota, but every product requires its own $9.90 purchase.

### How long does review take?

Harbor uses a best-effort queue and can take several weeks during busy periods. Voyage includes priority review within 48 hours.

### What happens after I submit my product?

Submitted products enter pending review. Shipstry checks product reality, listing completeness, ownership, fit with the registry, duplicate risk, and trust or safety issues. If approved, the product goes live in the selected ship week.

### Can I edit my submission after I send it?

You can keep editing while the product is still pending. Once the product is approved and live, edits are no longer treated as normal draft changes, so you should contact the team for important corrections.

### Can I resubmit after a rejection?

Yes. Fix the issues cited in the rejection notice and submit again. There is no cooldown, but the same quality standards apply.

### Can I upgrade later?

A pending Harbor product can upgrade to Voyage from the Dashboard and pay the difference. Voyage is the highest submission tier.

### What is the refund policy?

A Voyage purchase may be refundable before review starts or when the product is rejected and never published. Once priority review has been delivered and the product is approved and published, it is generally not refundable. Historical placement purchases remain governed by the offer shown when they were purchased.

## Discovery

### How do voting and ranking work?

Signed-in users can upvote an approved product once during its active ship week. Products are ranked by votes for that week, with Gold, Silver, and Bronze weekly winners. Voting closes when the week ends.

### When can I vote on a product?

Voting is only active during a product's ship week, which runs Monday through Sunday in UTC. Before the week starts, voting has not started. After the week ends, voting is closed.

### What changes during Fog Mode?

During Fog Mode, rank positions and vote counts are hidden, and every visitor sees a different order for the current ship week. Product details, comments, and ship-week context stay visible, but momentum cues are reduced.

### How are weekly and monthly winners selected?

Weekly winners are the top products by votes in a ship week, awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Monthly winners are chosen from the weekly winners for that month.

### Can I comment on products?

Yes. Signed-in users can leave comments on product pages, and top-level comments can also receive replies. Comments are intended to support real discussion between makers and the community.

### Can I like comments?

Yes. Signed-in users can like comments, and comment appreciation is one of the signals that can strengthen Wakemark over time.

### Can non-makers build Wakemark?

Yes. Wakemark is for makers and community members alike. Discovery, discussion, comment appreciation, and consistent participation can all contribute to it over time.

### Does Wakemark affect ranking or voting power?

No. Wakemark records earned reputation, but it does not change product ranking, does not increase vote weight, and does not buy leverage inside discovery.
